Unique Urban Village in Varsity Lakes Enters Second Phase
Varsity Lakes is proud to announce the release of Stage Two of The Quay on Varsity - an urban village that bucks the trend of monotonous apartment living with individually styled townhomes and units.

Stage One of The Quay was launched in August 2003 and has now sold out, Stage Two was released this month.

Both stages boast unique designs and proximity to the new dining and entertainment precinct Market Square, which is taking shape on The Quay’s doorstop.

A group of leading south-east Queensland architects have collaborated with Varsity Lakes developer Delfin Lend Lease to create The Quay. Gold Coast architect firms DHS (Dryhurst Halstead Stuart), Hamilton Hayes Henderson and Design Forum designed the townhomes and Brisbane-based Planit designed The Quay apartments.

Varsity Lakes Project Director Carl Bruhn said the development offered an inner urban feel but broke free of the production line-monotony of city style apartments.

“The Quay puts a fresh spin on medium density living, with no one townhome a carbon copy of another,” Mr Bruhn said.

“Townhomes range in width and height and include unique indoor and outdoor living spaces that reflect the precinct’s cosmopolitan feel while retaining lifestyle features synonymous with the Gold Coast.

“Linked to Varsity Lakes’ upcoming dining, retail and entertainment precinct, Market Square, The Quay offers the benefits of living in a dynamic, urban setting while giving buyers unprecedented housing choices.

“Home buyers will be able to choose from spacious, freehold-title waterfront and near-waterfront two or three bedroom townhomes and apartments, as well as the innovative SOHOs which offer real work-from-home solutions.

“All homes will also be complemented by quality low-maintenance landscaping, intimate parks and waterfront plazas located throughout the precinct to enhance the village atmosphere.”

The first stages of construction to commence at The Quay are due to start on 14 November 2003.

Upon completion The Quay will feature 143 waterfront and near waterfront townhomes and apartments.

Varsity Lakes adjoins Bond University and is bounded by the 80 hectare Lake Orr and the 18 hole Championship Golf Course Robina Woods. It is located just two minutes from Robina Town Centre, five minutes from North Burliegh Beach and ten minutes from Pacific Fair.

Varsity Lakes is being developed by Delfin Lend Lease, Australia’s largest developer of master-planned communities with 20 projects across Australia.
