Home Buyers Pick Orbit Homes Design as South East Queensland’s Favourite
The search for South East Queensland’s best new display home has ended with Springfield Lakes announcing that the toughest critics of all – home buyers – have voted Orbit Homes’ display home as their favourite.

With the recent boom in housing, some of South East Queensland’s top builders have crafted a range of innovative homes to suit all budgets and lifestyles.

These homes are open for inspection at the Springfield Lakes Living Options Home Buyer Centre and Living Options Display Villages at Varsity Lakes and Forest Lake. Combined there are more than 60 homes on display from many of South East Queensland’s most respected builders.

Last month, South East Queensland residents visiting any one of the Living Options Display Villages across South East Queensland had the opportunity to nominate their favourite home.

Orbit Homes’ display home, called Capri 32, attracted the majority of the total votes to take out the People’s Choice Award – part of Delfin Lend Lease’s annual Grand Masters Awards to recognise excellence in the residential construction industry.

Those who voted for the winning home have gone into the draw to win a $1,000 David Jones Gift Voucher, with the lucky winner to be announced shortly.

Project Director Marc Wilkinson said the Springfield Lakes Home Buyer Centre featured everything from town cottages through to traditional homes and villas.

“There are some fantastic, architecturally-designed homes and these awards show the latest consumer trends and tastes of the local market,” said Mr Wilkinson.

“But at the end of the day home buyers have voted for Orbit Homes’ display home because of its innovative and functional design and value for money price. Many voters could obviously see themselves moving into such a home when they were inspecting the entrants.”

Springfield Lakes has the state’s largest and most diverse display village which showcases Queensland’s most innovative living options and home designs. The Springfield Lakes Home Buyer Centre is open from Saturday – Thursday from 10am to 5pm.
