Homebuyers snap up new land release at Craigieburn’s Central Park
Demand for quality land on the northern outskirts of Melbourne remains strong with homebuyers snapping up the latest land release at Craigieburn by Delfin Lend Lease.
More than 80% of blocks of land at Craigieburn’s new Central Park village were sold within the first week of being released.
The Central Park village is centred around a 10 hectare park – equivalent to five times the playing field of the MCG. This magnificent park features a 2 –hectares of environmental friendly wetlands, which are designed to cleanse storm water and provide important habitat for marine and terrestrial wildlife.
The $8 million park is a joint venture between Delfin Lend Lease and Melbourne Water and is the largest park ever constructed at a Delfin Lend Lease project in Victoria.
Project Director Rod Roscholler said “homebuyers had been drawn to the green open spaces the new village offered.”
“Central Park’s is a continuation of the popular Woodland Grove village that sold out in record time.” he said
“The 10 hectare park at the heart of the village will also feature picnic areas, an adventure playground, large open spaces and more than 1.5 kilometres of hike and bike trials which link into the existing extensive network of trails around Malcolm Creek.”
Prime blocks in the latest release are priced from $90,000 with lot sizes ranging from 363m² up to 1000m².
Mr Roscholler said “the response to Central Park’s release proved there was still strong demand in Melbourne for well positioned land with easy access to essential services and infrastructure”.
“The $7 million Malcolm Creek Learning Centre, incorporating a swim school, early learning centre, sporting reserve, a primary school and TAFE, adds to Craigieburn’s appeal,” he said.
“Craigieburn residents will also soon benefit from the nearby Craigieburn Bypass, a Super Health Clinic and the extended electrification of the local rail lines to Craigieburn over the next few years.”
Central Park is the latest village at Delfin Lend Lease’s Craigieburn, which features more than 60 hectares of gardens and parklands and 15 kilometres of hike and bike trails.
Located 26 kilometres north of Melbourne’s CBD, Craigieburn by Delfin Lend Lease is a $500 million development that will be home to approximately 10,000 people once completed.
