Community Markets come to Caroline Springs
Caroline Springs is set to offer even more for the community to enjoy in its growing Town Centre with the launch of the monthly Caroline Springs Market on Sunday, 10 September 2006.

The markets, which will be held on the second Sunday of each month from 9am to 3pm, promise to be a wonderful new addition to Melbourne’s western suburbs.

“The new Caroline Springs Market will have something for everyone,” said Project Director Martin Gaedke.

“With a range of stalls including arts and crafts, a farmers market with fresh produce and new age services and products, visitors will just love what is on offer,” he said.

The Caroline Springs Market will be held in Lake Street, in the heart of the bustling Caroline Springs Town Centre and is a joint project between Melton Shire Council, Delfin Lend Lease, the Caroline Springs Community Development Association Inc, the Caroline Springs Community Bank Project and the Victorian State Government.

“The market was designed to support local businesses and producers and already over 100 suppliers have signed up to take part,” Mr Gaedke said.

To celebrate the launch of the Caroline Springs Market, residents of the local and surrounding communities are invited to come along and join in a family fun-day.

“As well as providing the opportunity for visitors to browse leisurely through the stalls, the launch day will include an animal farm, jumping castle and entertainment for the children.

“I hope Melbournians come out and enjoy what will be a fantastic free monthly event,” Mr Gaedke said.

Located 22 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD, Caroline Springs is an 800 hectare development encompassing 13 villages around Lake Caroline. It will be home to more than 23,000 people in 8,000 homes by around the year 2013.

Caroline Springs is being developed by Delfin Lend Lease, Australia’s largest developer of master-planned communities with 16 throughout Australia.
