Woodlands puts the pedal to the metal for Annual Billycart Cup
Eager billycarters put their racing gear on last Saturday 25 September for the Annual Woodlands Billycart Cup.

A fun day out for all ages, the day of fast competition saw four races, with a clean sweep by Team Crediflex, Team Lightning & two races won by the Rotary Club of Beenleigh.

It was an afternoon of free activities including a DJ, jumping castle, face painting, a clown and balloon artist.

Woodlands Project Director Darlene Clark said the day’s festivities were a hit and indicative of the strong spirit and vibrant social atmosphere in the region.

“We want to promote an active community here at Woodlands and the Billycart Cup will feature for many years to come,” Ms Clark said.

“It’s always fantastic to see people out and about supporting the blossoming Woodlands community.

“The day focused on enjoying the great outdoors, our new park, and celebrating the fast and furious Woodlands.”

The 2006 Annual Billycart Cup was sponsored by Blueprint, Treasures and Associates, BMD Constructions, Kennards Hire and Birchell VDM.

Upon completion the 137-hectare Woodlands community will be home to more than 3,500 people.

Woodlands is being developed by Delfin Lend Lease, Australia’s largest developer of masterplanned communities, with 16 trading projects nationally.
