Mawson Lakes welcomes 5,000th resident
With the population now at the half way mark, Delfin’s Mawson Lakes community has proved to be one of Adelaide’s premiere destinations for homebuyers with over 5,000 people now calling Mawson Lakes home.
The Seal family recently moved into their new home in The Bridges at Mawson Lakes, officially taking the community’s population above the 5,000 mark.
Mr Seal said his wife and kids loved the community’s lakes and green spaces and used the public barbeque facilities in the parks most weekends.
“We work hard during the week and like to have time to relax and spend time with the family on weekends. Lifestyle is what Mawson Lakes is all about,” Mr Seal said.
Mawson Lakes Project Director Chris Branford said the population milestone signified the growing popularity of the Mawson Lakes community.
“The community has blossomed since the first residential block was sold, and the speed of the population growth is a great indication of how popular this unique community is,” he said.
“Mawson Lakes has shown Adelaide a new way of life. It is a quality address that offers completely unrivalled lifestyle choices,” he said.
Mr Branford said Mawson Lakes green open space and state-of-the-art facilities were big drawcards, as well as the enormous range of house and land packages available to suit all tastes and budgets.
“The community boasts an amazing seven hectare lake, and by the time it is fully developed Mawson Lakes will feature over 26 kilometres of hike and bike trails, with over 30% of the community dedicated to green open spaces,” he said.
“Secluded village cul de sacs and friendly streets offer safer places for children to walk, ride and play, and residents can also make the most of the parks, sporting facilities and playing fields.”
“Mawson Lake’s town centre, The Promenade, which features a supermarket, medical center, restaurants, cafés, specialty shops and professional services, is also a major drawcard.”
Mawson Lakes is being developed by Delfin Lend Lease and Land Management Corporation, and will eventually house approximately 10,000 people in 4,000 homes with 6,000 workers and 6,000 students. Delfin Lend Lease is Australia’s leading urban developer with more than 20 projects across the country.media
