$40 million hotel opens at Caroline Springs
Caroline Springs will cement its position as the centre of Melbourne’s west with a $40 million hotel set to open its doors later this month.
The four-and-a-half-star Mercure Melbourne Caroline Springs, an Accor Hotel, will feature 104 hotel rooms, professional office suites and a 300-seat function centre, catering to corporate conferences, events and weddings
The modern six storey complex will also feature a restaurant, Zephyr Dining.
Caroline Springs project director Vanessa Normandin said the hotel would be the premier accommodation and entertainment venue for Melbourne's western suburbs.
“Caroline Springs’ Town Centre continues to expand with construction currently underway on a number of commercial and recreational facilities, and the completion of the Mercure Melbourne Caroline Springs will be a major drawcard for visitors to Melbourne’s west,” she said.
Accor Hotel Group has appointed Caroline Springs resident Carl Forrest as general manager.
Mr Forrest’s background includes roles at Hilton, Conrad and Accor Hotels around the world.
“Accor is proud to be associated with this project in the fast growing and vibrant Caroline Springs community,” Mr Forrest said.
“This hotel will be an integral part of the Caroline Springs landscape and offer a facility firmly focused on service, great accommodation, fabulous food and locals to enjoy it all.”
“We have completed our recruitment and 85 per cent of the team employed are locals and I am in awe of the talent that is out in this region.”
Caroline Springs is being developed by Delfin Lend Lease, Australia’s largest developer of masterplanned communities, with 25 projects nationally.
