Ropes Crossing residents log on & get connected in cyberspace
My Ropes CrossingDeveloped by Delfin Lend Lease, the website (www.myropescrossing.com.au) features local events, classifieds, networking and social circles, business information and special offers. It went live on 25 July 2009.

Ropes Crossing Project Director Natalie Jones said the online networking portal is a unique tool designed to bring the community together on a whole new level.

“Whether it’s finding a local electrician, or finding your perfect community group match, the website was created as an online portal where residents and workers in and around Ropes Crossing can interact and keep up-to-date with information about the community,” she said.

“Businesses are also jumping onboard, using the portal as a way to advertise their unique services, job vacancies and deliver special discounts to members.

Ropes Crossing student and resident Brannac Robinson is the websites first Youth Editor. The 14-year-old’s role will include sourcing good news stories specifically for young people and updating calendar dates for local youth events.

Ropes Crossing encompasses the entire Eastern Precinct of the St Marys site, an area which covers 132ha and is expected to contain up to 1,800 homes. Ropes Crossing is bordered by a 900ha Regional Park and will include 16 parks and playgrounds connected by 25 kilometres of walking and cycling paths. Delfin Lend Lease is Australia’s leading developer of masterplanned communities with 25 projects across the country.
