Work from home booming in Melbourne’s west
A home business boom in Melbourne’s west has prompted the release of a Victorian-first in low-maintenance home/office living at Caroline Springs.

Caroline Springs will this month release its Cascada Living Collection, offering buyers a premium residential address located in the heart of Caroline Springs Town Centre.

Cascada’s architecturally-designed homes include the SOHO (Small Office, Home Office) and ABODA townhomes.

Caroline Springs’ SOHOs, designed for small business owners and home-based businesses, offer a flexible and personalised workspace integrated with an upstairs residence in one of Melbourne’s fastest growing commercial precincts.

Caroline Springs project director Vanessa Normandin said the Cascada collection would meet high demand among small to large business owners for a flexible work/life balance.

“The increasing social trend for small business owners to work from home has prompted the delivery of homes which offer the facilities required to grow their businesses as well as a low-maintenance, high-quality home,” she said.

“The SOHOs are designed to allow owners direct access to ground floor office space with built in facilities, so clients and guests don’t need to access the private home.”

The first stage of the Cascada release includes a range of two, three and four bedroom floor plans.

The SOHO and ABODA townhomes are exclusive to Caroline Springs, with prices starting from $429,000.

Located 22 kilometres west of Melbourne’s CBD, Caroline Springs is an 800 hectare development encompassing 15 villages around Lake Caroline. It will be home to more than 23,000 people in 8,000 homes by around the year 2013.

Caroline Springs is being developed by Delfin Lend Lease, Australia’s largest developer of masterplanned communities, with 25 projects nationally.
