Delfin Lend Lease recognise top builders across Australia
The awards recognise excellence and innovation across Delfin’s 18 trading projects throughout Australia. The National Award winners each received a trip to the 2008 International Builders Show and nextBUILD in Orlando, Florida valued at $10,000.
Black tie gala balls were held simultaneously across the country at venues including the Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne, The Paddington Town Hall in Sydney, The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre in Brisbane and The Observatory Function Centre in Adelaide.
Guests were treated to a “red carpet welcome” reminiscent of the Academy Awards with “on camera” interviews and paparazzi in tow. The theme song “My Kind of Town', reinforced Delfin’s successful partnership with its builders in creating towns that people are proud to call home.
Delfin Lend Lease Chief Executive Officer David Keir said the Grand Masters Awards highlighted the high standard of housing choice on display across the country.
“The exceptional products and stellar new homes featured this year have certainly raised the bar, with our builders taking a groundbreaking approach to urban design, safety, housing and environmentally-sustainable living,” he said.
Entries were judged on street appeal, design, liveability, sustainability, marketing and value for money.
The National Judging Committee was comprised of high profile industry figures including Carol Brett of Better Homes Magazine, Wayne Gersbach from the HIA, and Andrew Keag, Principal Designer, Lend Lease.
