Ropes Crossing appoints new project director
Launched in June 2005, the new $500 million Ropes Crossing community is expected to home to up to 5,000 residents in 1,800 homes across 132 hectares by 2010.

New Project Director Natalie Jones will oversee the continued development of the community, including the delivery of the new residential stages and community facilities, such as Ropes Crossing’s new village centre and public school.

Ms Jones has been with Delfin Lend Lease since 1998, and was a key figure in the development of Forest Lake and Springfield Lakes in Queensland, and Fairway Waters and The Chase in the Northern Territory. At these communities, she was involved in the early delivery of education, retail and community facilities and is bringing the same approach to Ropes Crossing.

Ms Jones said Ropes Crossing was entering a dynamic new phase in its development with more residents moving in each day.

“Homebuyers have told us that they are attracted to Ropes Crossing because it has been designed as a quality masterplanned community. This means they will be able to enjoy a range of facilities and features which other communities do not offer, including a planned school, community facilities and village centre,” she said.

“This is an exciting time at Ropes Crossing, and I am thrilled to be able to guide the development of one of Western Sydney’s newest masterplanned residential communities into the future.”

Former Ropes Crossing Project Director Arthur Ilias will remain with the project but has been promoted to a new development and planning role.

Ropes Crossing features a wide range of housing types to suit a range of tastes, lifestyles and budgets, with house and land prices starting form $329,000.

Ropes Crossing encompasses the entire Eastern Precinct of the St Marys site, an area which covers 132ha and is expected to contain about 1,800 homes. Ropes Crossing is bordered by a 900ha Regional Park and will include 16 parks and playgrounds connected by 25 kilometres of walking and cycling paths. Delfin Lend Lease is Australia’s leading developer of masterplanned communities with 18 trading projects across the country.
