Ropes Crossing
print version
Located 45 kilometres to the west of Sydney, 22 kilometres west of Parramatta and 10 kilometres east of Penrith, Ropes Crossing is one of the Sydney’s newest residential communities. On completion in 2014, Ropes Crossing will comprise approximately 1800 houses and be home to up to 5,000 people.

Ropes Crossing is a model for sustainable community creation with a focus on environmental, ecological and social outcomes. Inspired by the natural park surrounding, Ropes Crossing incorporates design elements that reflect a modern Australian character while providing flexibility and a choice of living options for over 1,000 residents to date.

Nestled around a 900 hectare Regional Park, Ropes Crossing has been carefully designed with a balance of homes, shops, schools, parks, hike and bike trails and other community resources and facilities to create an intimate village atmosphere.
